I love hearing about how my couples meet, and high school sweetheart stories are some of my favorites. Ayla and Josh met on coincidence at a football game. She came to the game late after playing soccer, and the only spot left in the stands was next to him. They hit it off and have been together ever since: going to college together at Alabama, getting engaged, and then moving to Greenville. Being with the same person for almost half your life is something truly special. Ayla and Josh were so comfortable with each other and in front of the camera, so it made this session even better!

Since both their families are not from the area, they chose to have their photos taken in downtown Greenville as well as Campbell’s Covered Bridge to show the variety that the Upstate has to offer. Ayla arrived to their session in the most gorgeous hot pink dress, so of course I had to ask about it! She said she took her friend’s advice and tried Rent the Runway, a tip that I absolutely ADORE! We agreed that you’re investing a lot in your engagement session and the resulting photos will be all over your Save the Dates and hung on the walls of your home. Ayla said she knew she would never use the outfit again after wearing it for the session, so this was the perfect way to feel glamorous (and BONUS: it didn’t break the bank either). Her Kate Spade dress complimented Josh’s suit for a classic look, and she got so many compliments as we walked through the park!
