When Lora first reached out, she said it was her future mother-in-law that recommended me to her. Then I realized that Lora’s fiance was the brother to one of my past grooms…from 2011! I had to go back and look at those wedding photos and I’ll admit it was a little surreal! But more than anything, it’s so special that I’ll be photographing another wedding for this sweet family.
We went through a lot of location ideas for Lora and Seth’s fall engagement session, and landed on Seth’s family farm. And let me add a little piece of advice here for other couples, if you want fall colors like this, you NEED to book sessions during the first two weeks of November. I know…most people think that’s too late in the season, but trust me and take a look at ALL the color we got for their photos!! We live in the South, and fall shows up late, so anything before end of October is going to be green and most likely temps in the 90s. Ok, that’s my public service announcement for the day!
Back to Lora and Seth, I had the best time getting to know these two and can’t wait to be a part of their June wedding. I’ll admit I’m also looking forward to seeing my 2011 couple, Amanda and Josh, there too! Now take a look through some of my favorites from this fall engagement session in the country.
