Gassaway Mansion Wedding | Sarah & Justin

Filed in: Weddings

The relationships I develop with my clients and their families are so special to me, and this is one that will stay with me forever. I feel like some people are put into your life for a reason, and I’m certain that it was always meant for me to work with this amazing family.

Sarah’s mom said they looked at many photographers in the beginning of wedding planning, but they felt moved to book with me because of my family. They loved my work too, but said it felt right to work with a family-oriented person. It is the MOST important thing to them. I pray that my little family will carry the same type of bond well into my children’s adulthood.

Sarah and Justin, I am so grateful for your unwavering kindness, your understanding as we moved the original wedding date, and trust throughout our journey to get you two married. The day was perfect, and I hope it was everything you dreamed of! Sarah, I know YOU are everything Justin has dreamed of…his reaction to seeing you was priceless and so authentic.

I hope you enjoy looking through some of my favorites from this wedding at Gassaway Mansion that joined two beautiful families into a new one.

This Daddy/Daughter first look had us all in tears!! Sarah’s sweet father was beside himself when he saw his beautiful only daughter for the first time on her wedding day. Sarah’s maternal grandmother passed away the day after their original wedding date last October. She mentioned to me that since then they consider red birds to be their signs from heaven. Coincidentally, my family does this as well for my own late grandmother. Right before Sarah walked down the aisle, the brightest red bird flew through the ceremony site. Once she got to the altar a big gust of wind blew through catching her veil too. These moments gave me chills because I knew they were signs from her grandmother in heaven.  Sarah and Justin’s adorable pups made an appearance right after the ceremony. Don’t you love their little tux shirts?!

Sarah surprised her mom with more red birds placed in the trees to honor her late grandmother. I’m so glad I was prepared to catch these emotions!
