Hotel Domestique Wedding | Emily & Collin

Filed in: Weddings

When things got crazy this spring with all weddings being postponed, I knew one thing was for sure: Emily and Collin’s wedding would still be flawless. Not only because both bride and groom are excellent planners with amazingly positive attitudes, but they also had Shelley Keim with Events with Shelley at their lead. After throwing around a few different ideas, they landed on moving their date just one week to a new venue and greatly parring down their guest list. I have to say, I would LOVE to see more weddings like theirs! It was beautiful, intimate, and there was so much time for Emily and Collin to enjoy each other rather than being pulled in different directions for formalities.

If you haven’t heard of Hotel Domestique, you need to go check it out. Nestled in the foothills of Travelers Rest, this venue offers gorgeous views as well as an Italian-villa style setting. It’s like you step right into another country! Emily and Collin’s vision for their day came together perfectly, and it was such a joy to capture it all.

Emily and Collin, your Plan B has quickly become one of my new favorites. Thank you for embracing these changes, and making the most of what happens in life! It’s a great lesson to take forward in your marriage. Enjoy some of my favorites from their Hotel Domestique wedding!

Of course, their sweet pup Ellie had to be a part of their wedding day too!

Statice Event Design did a jaw-dropping job on the florals, don’t you agree?!

With everything being held outside, Emily and Collin chose to include the southern tradition of burying the bourbon. Legend has it, if you bury a bottle bourbon upside-down at your venue exactly one month in advance, then you will not have any rain. It worked for us and we managed to have a rain-free wedding right until their exit!

We had already done a lot of portraits, but Collin suggested going towards the vineyard vines for more. When the groom wants more photos and has ideas, you GO FOR IT! And these are some of my favorites from their day too. Thanks Collin!!
