Lauren and Josh’s Furman engagement session was really special because it fell on Josh’s birthday! I’m not sure if this has ever happened to me before! They didn’t tell me until the end, and to be honest, I felt bad about it since most guys don’t care for photos. I didn’t want him to have a bad birthday, but they reassured me that they both love photos and it was a fun way to spend their evening before going out to celebrate.

Lauren and Josh met during their senior year in high school at a spirit week function and have been together ever since. She said one of her most memorable dates with him was when he packed a homemade picnic and took her to Furman’s lake. It seemed fitting to do their engagement session here too! Most guys don’t have any photo requests, but Josh asked if we could get a few with the bell tower in the background. I gave them a few options and hope they love the results as much as I do!

These two were so easy to photograph: laughing, smiling, and nuzzling…right, Josh? ;)  I cannot wait to be a part of their wedding next June! Enjoy some of my favorites from their Furman engagement session.

This is one of my favorites…the colors, the light, the nose-crinkle smile. I love when couples let their guards down with me, and just enjoy being with each other during their session.
