Before meeting with Lauren and Taylor for their Campbell’s Covered Bridge engagement session, she warned me that they were awkward with taking photos. I can’t tell you all how many times I hear those exact words. BUT it gets me excited to prove them wrong! It’s true, almost everyone feels uncomfortable in front of the camera to start. It’s weird and uncharted territory for most people. However, I don’t think I’ve ever had someone say at the end of their session “yep, I still feel pretty awkward and uncomfortable”. Trust me, I’ll tear down those guards pretty quickly!

Lauren (or Curry, her first name which I LOVE) and Taylor chose Campbell’s Covered Bridge for their engagement session. It’s the perfect fall location for photos…well known by all the other photographers in the area, especially on this beautiful day! I don’t think I’ve ever seen it quite this busy, but we worked our way around the other sessions taking place and found some beautiful light along the way. I loved getting to know these two and can’t wait to be a part of their wedding in May. Enjoy some of my favorites from this laid back session.

While we were there, someone set off a smoke bomb. The sun was super bright, and the way the rays came through the trees and played with the smoke was beautiful. I was so happy we could capture that in this photo!
