Maggie and Zach waited over 2 years for their wedding at the Westin Poinsett Hotel, but their story starts way before that. It all began at a football game in their sophomore year when Zach gave Maggie his sweatshirt to warm her up. I do love a chivalrous gesture! They started dating their senior year and six years later, he proposed. Maggie’s family takes a yearly trip to pick out their Christmas tree, and Zach had planned for her to come home with more than just a tree that day: a beautiful diamond ring and fiance!
One year later, we photographed their engagement session. And another year after that, their wedding day was finally here. It’s been a joy to be a party of this journey with Maggie and Zach! Enjoy some of my favorites from this sparkly winter wedding. One of the perks in having your wedding at the Westin is being able to take those iconic rooftop photos. As Maggie was getting ready, I mentioned doing her First Look on the rooftop instead of nighttime portraits. She was 100% on board! I was so excited to mark “photograph a First Look on the Westin’s rooftop” off my wedding photography bucket list! Oh my heart…he was speechless after seeing his beautiful bride! This is one of my favorites! Look at those model faces! And I love a fur stole for a winter wedding…so classy!
