I may have said it before, but the statement gets more true every year: JSP has the best looking couples (and wedding parties!) ever. Hands down. Alex, the stunning Southern bride you’ll see here, married her handsome groom, Ashton, at the church she grew up going to on a hot summer day in August. I loved the special details she included in their day, like the gorgeous red shoes she wore in honor of her late grandmother, the blue monogram on the hem of her dress as her “something blue”, and the delicate heirloom handkerchief embroidered with the wedding dates of her mom, grandmother and great-grandmother.
In true Southern fashion, hundreds of their friends and family surrounded them as they said their vows and promised their lives to each other, then everyone reconvened at the Poinsett Club to celebrate the newlyweds. It was a beautiful wedding and an awesome party, and I’m so thankful Ashton and Alex allowed me to capture it all. Enjoy looking through some of my favorites!
Most churches have rules that photographers must abide by, and at this one I had to photograph through a 2″x2″ square of beveled glass in a paneled door until their first kiss. That’s why there some light distortions and prism effects. We do what we have to do!
Isn’t their flower girl a doll?!
