Beth was a bridesmaid in another wedding I photographed earlier this year. She told me that she wasn’t even engaged yet, but she knew that JSP would be the first vendor she would book when that day came (what an amazing compliment!). A few months after that wedding, Beth held her word and sent me an excited email saying she was engaged! I was so anxious to get this beauty and her fiance James in front of my camera.

Duke is a special place for Beth and it was also the location where James got down on one knee and proposed to her, making it hold an even brighter spot in her heart. We all traveled up to Duke University for their engagement session, and I was blown away with this campus. The architecture rivals the churches I’ve seen in Florence and Paris…it’s truly breathtaking. As if our afternoon couldn’t have gotten any better, Beth and James also brought me my favorite red velvet cupcakes! I’m so thankful to work with amazing couples like these two, and look forward to their wedding in June.
