Kimberlin and Christopher booked me for their coastal wedding just four months before their date! Some might find a short engagement to be stressful, but Kimberlin AND her fabulous mother are both wedding coordinators, so they had the wedding perfectly planned. The only thing that WAS stressful was the weather. The ceremony was to be held at the Caledonia Golf & Fish Club, a location with massive oak trees dripping in Spanish moss…yes, it is out of a dream. But if the rain came in, the back-up plan was to move the ceremony inside the reception space. The Dunes Club is beautiful too, but when you’re having a coastal wedding you definitely want portraits to show that. The good Lord answered our prayers. Not only did the rain hold off, but we were blessed with the most beautiful day with 63 degree temperatures. Unheard of in January!
All I can say is that I hope this wedding is setting the tone for the rest of 2020 because it was so inspiring. When your bride and groom jump at the chance to get in the sand on the beach for portraits…that’s a good wedding! Kimberlin and Christopher, thank you for trusting me throughout the day, and I am pretty obsessed with your gallery. Enjoy some of my favorites from their day!
Kimberlin’s niece was the sweetest and most quiet baby I’ve ever seen!
It was almost an hour drive between ceremony and reception locations, but we made is JUST in time before the sun was gone at the Dunes Club. I used every last second of the ten minutes of daylight we had left!
Yesssss…y’all know I love a big scene setting photo so this immediately became a new favorite!!
