Katie and Matt have one of my favorite “how did you meet” stories I’ve ever heard. They randomly crossed paths in Las Vegas while both on respective bachelor/bachelorette parties. After hitting it off and talking for most of the night, she invited him to join the girls for breakfast the following day. Thinking it was unlikely he would follow through, she was surprised and delighted to see him again the next day!

She was living in San Diego and he was in Georgia at the time, but they kept in touch and their relationship grew. They are both nurses and worked the night shift too, so they had so much in common. Seriously, their story is like a movie script! They kept their long-distance relationship going by traveling to fun locations on special dates to see one another. After being apart for over two months due to Covid, they finally got together in Charleston where he was able to propose.

We met at Campbell’s Covered Bridge for their engagement session. I loved hearing more about their exciting relationship and all about the plans for their wedding in April. Katie and Matt, you guys are just the sweetest! Thank you for trusting me and I look forward to having you in front of my camera again soon!

I wish I could always have this beautiful light, tall grass, and fall leaves for my sessions! The fall colors were just starting to peak here too.
