I hope I’m not jinxing myself, but I feel like we are finally through with all the rain! Caroline and Jake were so gracious with being flexible and rescheduling their Bald Rock engagement session after the first date we chose got rained out. I texted her that day and said we could try to make it work, but ultimately we decided not to risk it. I’m SO glad we moved dates because the new day was just perfect.

Like most couples, one of the first things they mentioned was how awkward they would be in front of camera having never done professional photos. I think these two were hiding an ace up their sleeve! Once I told them to just be themselves and love on each other, they rocked every pose and action I asked them to do! Brides and grooms, when you TRUST your photographer and let your guard down, that’s when we can make some magic happen in your photos.

Caroline and Jake, I loved working with you on this session and getting to know you better. I’m thrilled to be your photographer and can’t wait for your wedding in August!

Caroline and Jake have a significant height difference, so these romantic pick-her-up portraits worked perfectly to get them on the same eye-level!

I’m pretty sure they could be JCrew models.

Another favorite! Definitely trying to incorporate more wide scene-telling images into galleries!
