Believe it or not, I have never had a downtown Charlotte engagement session! I’ve been up to Duke Mansion and other areas around Charlotte, but this was my first time exploring the proper downtown and I loved it! Being in new places always refreshes my creative eye and challenges me to look for new compositions.

Lilly and Mark requested some skyline shots for their session and I have to say, I think we nailed it by using their suggestion of Romare Bearden Park. The cherry blossom trees were in full bloom there too, so that was a fun and beautiful surprise! Even venturing over behind this government building was a nice find with the architecture and columns. I actually got so caught up in these locations that we barely made use of their second outfit before sunset, but we made it to the Confetti Hearts wall just in time to wrap things up!

Lilly and Mark, thank you for your trust and going with the flow! Your sweet dispositions are a joy to work with, and I can’t wait for your big day in July at the Huguenot Loft!
