I got to meet Meredith and Will last summer for engagement portraits and hoped we would have the opportunity to work together for their wedding. Their plans changed a couple times and then I got an email from Meredith’s aunt, who originally found me on Instagram and made the connection for us. She said they ultimately decided to do a super small celebration, in light of Covid, because they just wanted to be married!

I love an elopement but would consider that to be only the couple saying vows without guests. Even after Covid is over, microweddings are something I think should continue! I completely understand and respect the decision to have a downtown microwedding, and think Meredith and Will’s turned out beautifully. No stress, no detailed timeline, and room for LOTS of portraits!

I met Meredith at the Westin Poinsett just in time to get her dressed before we moved over to Hall’s Chophouse (via horsedrawn carriage!), where she and Will had a simple ceremony surrounded by family. Everyone enjoyed cocktails at Hall’s while we took portraits then they joined them for dinner. A perfect and relaxing wedding!

Meredith and Will, I’m so glad we could make this happen and that you can finally call each other husband and wife! Enjoy some of my favorites from this sweet wedding day.
