May gifted us a softly sprinkled day, the kind where everything feels calm and a little magical. From the start, Emily and Henry kept their wedding beautifully simple and entirely centered around what mattered most to them. I am so grateful for their trust in me to capture it all.

With rain drifting on and off, we tucked ourselves under the covered TD Stage behind the Huguenot Loft, where the natural light filtered in perfectly. It was the ideal setting for their first look and for the personal vows they wrote themselves. As writers, Emily and Henry put their hearts into every word, and hearing them speak those promises had me wiping away tears right along with them. It was tender, emotional, and unforgettable.

Their approach to the day was intentional in every way. Their wedding party included only her sister and his brother, and we focused mainly on family portraits rather than a large group of attendants. Throughout the reception, they never left each other’s side. I kept catching little moments of them wrapped in quiet hugs, taking in the celebration together.

And then came the biggest surprise. While they may seem reserved, Emily and Henry shocked everyone by breaking into a full dance mob routine to music from The Greatest Showman. Guests jumped in, energy soared, and I found myself crying again, this time from pure joy and goosebumps.

From the heartfelt stillness to the unexpected bursts of celebration, every part of their day felt genuine and full of meaning. It was such a wonderful day, and I loved being a part of it.
