Josie and Adam were married in Greenville last summer, and it was such a sweet surprise when I got an email from her asking to do an anniversary session for them in Charleston. If you know me, then you KNOW I jumped at the chance to get back to one of my favorite cities! We weren’t able to do an engagement session together before their wedding, so it was such a treat being able to reconnect with them AND get them back in front of my camera!

I had one weekend this fall where we could schedule this Charleston session. We planned and crossed our fingers that the weather would cooperate. Everything looked great on the forecast for the entire week, but that morning as I made my way to downtown for their sunrise session, it started raining! How could this be?! Thankfully, Adam and Josie were flexible and we were able to wait it out a couple hours.

We met up in the heart of downtown, walked the streets of Charleston with their dog Beaux, and talked about how their first year of marriage went. It was like meeting back up with old friends. I just love the portraits we captured together too!

Josie and Adam, I truly adore you two and loved meeting Beaux as well! Thank you for asking me to document this special season of your life. I can’t wait to do it again soon!

You’ll start to see that Beaux is SUCH a good smiler! Like he should probably be in dog food commercials. I love how leaves in this one match their outfit choices as well as Beaux’s caramel color. Thank you fall for starting to peek through!I could not get enough of these window boxes and the colors! It went so well with their clothing.
