Katie and Blaine met when they were tiny tots in kindergarten. They later became high school sweethearts, so their wedding day has been a long time coming. While they had so many loving guests who were excited to see them get married, Blaine eagerly showed his excitement too when he exclaimed “I Do” before the minister could even finish his first sentence. I’m sure his bride Katie will always remember that precious moment!
There’s something so special about relationships like Katie and Blaine’s: growing up with the one you love and then committing your life to each other forever. I’m so glad that they chose me to capture this first day in a new season of life, and I wish this sweet couple all the best in their future!
And just a few moments after this photo was taken, the skies decided to open up and start pouring rain. To make matter worse, the door that took us outside locked behind us and we couldn’t get back inside. So, we (Katie’s family, all 9 bridesmaids and I) were stuck banging on the door (with no awning, I might add) in hopes that someone would hear us. Luckily, we got inside and their dresses dried quickly. These girls took it in stride and laughed at how everyone huddled over Katie to protect her from getting wet.
Katie’s Mom and Dad were married at Earle Street nearly 30 years ago. They had this same photo taken and Katie wanted to recreate it. So sweet!
So fun catching up with past JSP couples! Love them!!
