June 6th didn’t pan out the way Lora and Seth originally envisioned when they got engaged, but their backup plan was pretty near perfect. Due to COVID-19 restrictions and in order to keep their guests safe, Lora and Seth made the tough decision to split up their ceremony and reception. Their lakeside ceremony took place at a friend’s beautiful home with everything taking place outside. Thank goodness for the gorgeous weather we had that day! They decided to keep their wedding date because it was Lora’s grandparents’ anniversary too. What a special way to honor their lifetime of marriage!

At the mini-reception, I spoke with Dana, the groom’s mother, and we both agreed that this plan may have been better than the original. If more weddings have to split up their days, hey, I’m all for it if they turn out like this one!

Lora and Seth, thank you for your trust and flexibility. What a beautiful outcome this unexpected year has brought!  

Um yes, this is most definitely a new all-time favorite!!                               

Fun fact, I photographed Seth’s brother’s wedding in 2011! It was fun to look back on those photos and see how young Seth was. I adore this family, and I’m so grateful to be part of another wedding with them.
