I love hearing how all of my couples met, and sometimes you just have to hand it to fate with how it happens! Lena and Will met at a tacky Christmas sweater party with mutual friends. Isn’t that so fun?! These two hit it off, and Will smoothly added his number to her phone before the night ended. Soon after, he drove all the way to Asheville (where Lena is from) to pick her up for their first date. Plans went awry when the Grove Park Inn was booked for a Christmas event, so they quickly switched gears and opted for BBQ and bowling instead. The date went so well that Lena invited Will back for dinner with her family that night, and ended the evening playing Rock Band. I don’t think their first date could have been anymore fun!

I usually tell brides that if we can avoid it, I don’t book sessions during the winter because it’s too cold. Of course, this year we have had the MOST beautiful weather in February…75 degrees and sunny every.single.day. UNTIL the day of our session! Rain was on the forecast, but since Will was leaving for training and then moving to Texas for his new job, we had no option for rescheduling. We decided to make the best of it and hope the rain would hold off. When it did start sprinkling, it hardly phased Lena and Will. We brought out my umbrellas and finished the session only getting a little bit wet in the process.

Lena and Will, thank you SO much for trusting me and staying positive in the rain!! I can’t wait to continue the fun at your wedding in July!
Isn’t their dog Chewy the cutest!? I mean, that bowtie and that smile!This crazy warm weather gave us a few beautiful flowering trees and bushes to use too! Yay!
