On her wedding day, Lena reminded me a lot of myself as a bride. I could sense that she was a little nervous, which led to happy, excited, emotional and anxious tears throughout the day. I was the exact same way. Your wedding day is something that you anticipate for a long time. Some may dream of dressing up in that special white gown since being a little girl, some just during adulthood, but definitely from the point that you meet the man of your dreams. She kept saying I can’t believe it’s finally here and it’s happening! I reminded her that once she puts on the dress, things start moving in fast forward speed, so don’t forget to just soak in all the little moments you can. This conversation then had to stop because both of us started tearing up!
Lena and Will were married at Buncombe Street Methodist Church, where they do not allow for any photography during the ceremony. Afterwards, we made sure to take advantage of the church’s beautiful porch and gorgeous light before heading over to the classic Westin Poinsett for the reception. I’ve said it before that the rooftop portraits here are some of the most iconic Greenville wedding photos you can get. While I typically go up with the bride and groom after sunset, the past couple times we’ve been up right at dusk. The light was so dreamy and we got some of my favorite portraits ever. Just wait until you see how gorgeous Lena’s tulle ballgown looks in these! She looks like she was floating everywhere she went.
Lena and Will, you have been dream clients to work with. I’m sending love and prayers your way as you make your home in Texas, and please keep in touch! I look forward to our paths crossing again in the future!
