Oh, Mary Louisa and Jimmy…words can’t describe how much I loved working with you!
I have gotten lucky on several run-ins with rain this spring, but sadly this wedding wasn’t the case. It wasn’t a light sprinkling either; this was a legit downpour. But being the bright and always cheerful couple that they are, the rain didn’t seem to faze them at all. They were simply excited to see each other and happy to be getting married. I am just thankful that I always keep those extra umbrellas in my car! And big hugs go out to Mary Louisa’s awesome bridesmaids who held the umbrella over my head while we did her portraits. Y’all are amazing.
With everyone keeping calm and accepting of Mother Nature, the day turned out to be absolutely beautiful. Mary Louisa and Jimmy, I hope you always keep your positive attitudes in life and best wishes in your future together! Now, get ready for a photo-heavy post!
Follow along for more of my life, recent work, and everything in between.
I was wondering where this reception venue was located? Things are so beautiful, despite the rain!
Hi Kathryn,
The reception venue is called Old Bishop Place Farm in Cedar Mountain, NC. However, I think the owners were friends of the couple so I’m not sure if it is open to the public for bookings. You are right though, it IS quite beautiful! :)
