Morgan & Collin: Engaged at Campbell’s Covered Bridge

Filed in: Engagements

Collin and Morgan both went to school and swam for University of South Carolina. She always said she would never date a swimmer, but all that changed when Collin graduated! *Technically*, he wasn’t a swimmer anymore, right? These two have been together since and now live in Houston, Texas near Collin’s hometown.

Morgan had planned a trip home to see her family last May, and wasn’t aware that Collin had a surprise up his sleeve. He dropped her off at the airport, then unbeknownst to her, he parked the car and got on the flight after hers headed to the same destination! With the help of Morgan’s family, he set up the perfect surprise proposal. He was waiting on her with a room full of candles and lights when she got home. Of course, she said “yes!” and they’re planning their June wedding in her hometown of Greenville. I can’t wait to photograph their big day at the Old Cigar Warehouse!

We met at Campbell’s Covered Bridge for their engagement session, and these two had no problem getting comfortable in front of the camera. Snow may be on the forecast this week, but we lucked out with temps in the mid-60s on the day of their session. And while it may be dead of winter, we still found beautiful colors to use as backdrops (I especially love the golden grasses at the end!) It was perfect! I had a blast getting to know these two and I’m so excited to be their photographer. Enjoy some of my favorites!
We ventured over to a piece of land that had recently been cleared for timber. My husband’s family knows the owner, and the mountain views are AMAZING! I’m thankful Morgan and Collin trusted me and made the little hike to get these shots!
