Anna and Blake are another one of my couples that had to postpone their big day last spring. Their Revel wedding was supposed to take place on April 4, just two weeks after we all went into quarantine. We regrouped and landed on July 18 for their postponement, and then waited with bated breath for that day to arrive!

It’s easy to look through these photos and imagine a perfect wedding day, and gosh…this couple sure deserved that after all they’ve been through with COVID! But we did encounter a few more hiccups. For one, it started pouring rain out of nowhere as the girls got ready. There wasn’t rain anywhere on the forecast or radar, but somehow we were in the midst of the storm. And yet, Anna continued to smile. Then, as she was walking towards Blake for their First Look, she sliced her thumb on one of their glass wedding signs. Again, they did not let these things phase them one bit. We quickly bandaged Anna’s thumb, and she continued to walk into Blake’s arms. During that time, we also realized the rain had stopped and was drying up in time for portraits.

I am so amazed with how Anna and Blake have take these things in stride. All that mattered was that they were finally able to get married and celebrate! I’ve told my couples, if you can get through a pandemic before your wedding, then you can do anything in your marriage. I absolutely think Anna and Blake will prove that to be true!
