Alex and Joe had their beautiful Catholic ceremony set to start 2pm at St. Mary Magdalene Church. While earlier ceremony timing does mean that we start our timeline pretty early for photos, I absolutely love the pace it sets for the day with Catholic weddings. It’s a rare occasion when I don’t support a First Look, but with a Catholic mass wedding, it’s not even needed. We had a huge chunk of time between the end of ceremony and reception beginning, when we got all their photos done and had time to spare.
One moment I’ll remember from this wedding day was when Alex’s dad saw her for the first time. He opened the door and stopped in his tracks. He slowly began walking towards her again saying something like “you picture it, and you dream it, and you imagine it” but he was at a loss for words after that. It’s true what he said though. I know most couples dream for their wedding days, but so do your parents! I could tell that her dad had been looking forward to seeing his daughter as a bride for a long time. Being a part of that sweet moment between Alex and her dad was just priceless.
We had the best day celebrating Alex and Joe becoming husband and wife, and I hope you enjoy some of my favorites from their St Mary Magdalene wedding!
