As is my usual routine with weddings, the week before Stacy and Tedd’s big day I was checking the weather forecast like mad woman. All week long I saw a chance of rain for that Saturday, but when the day was finally upon us, we had gorgeous blue skies and puffy white clouds. I even had to leave my coat in the car because it was a little warm outside. I would have put money on this weather staying perfect.
Not too long after I started taking detail shots inside, I happened to pass by a window in the church and noticed that it looked like it was pouring rain outside. “No way”, I thought to myself, so I had to go check. Low and behold, as I opened the door to the church and peeked outside, it wasn’t rain that was coming down but SNOW! Massive snowballs were tumbling from the sky and the ground was covered in minutes. This wasn’t a typical southern snow where it’s soft and barely coming down; it was blowing around like a blizzard.
Thankfully, Stacy and Tedd embraced this weather miracle and continued with their First Sight outside. Luckily we got those outdoor photos before the ceremony, because just as fast as the snow came in, it was almost gone by the time the ceremony was over.
Stacy and Tedd, thank you for letting me share this magical day with you!!
Follow along for more of my life, recent work, and everything in between.
