This Lake Keowee engagement session was probably my coldest one EVER. Stormie and Taylor got engaged at Lake Keowee, so it’s a place that’s near and dear to their hearts. I encourage my couples to do their portraits at a sentimental location, so having their engagement photos there was the perfect choice, but gosh was it freezing! They were such rockstars with braving the frigid strong winds coming off the water though. Stormie said she hoped their photos at least looked like it was a little warm outside, and I think we accomplished that.

Taylor and I grew up in the same neighborhood (go Botany Bolts! ha!) so I’ve known him a LONG time. I photographed his sister’s wedding a few years ago, and feel so honored that they wanted me back to photograph another family wedding. Taylor was also a groomsmen in one of my weddings last year, so I got to see him and Stormie together then. They weren’t engaged at that time, but I remember thinking how cute they were together! And now, I get to have them in front of my camera!

Taylor and Stormie, I had the best time with you on this chilly day, and I’m SO thankful for your patience and bravery with the weather. I hope you love the results as much as I do!
