There are some wedding days that feel almost too good to be true, and Alexa and Cal’s wedding at was absolutely one of them. The Farm at Old Edwards Inn is nestled in the charming mountain town of Highlands, North Carolina. This day gave us spring sunshine, a perfectly smooth timeline, and the kind of warmth that radiates from people who are simply thrilled to be getting married.
Alexa and Cal are two of the kindest, most joy-filled people I’ve had the privilege of photographing. Their wedding party was small, which made the entire day feel intimate and relaxed. What it lacked in size, it made up for in love and support. Every single person standing by their side was fully present, soaking in the joy of the moment and cheering these two on.
The first look between Alexa and Cal was something special. It was emotional, tender, and deeply personal, followed by the most meaningful private vow exchange. These quiet moments are always a favorite for me, and it’s something I encourage all my couples to do. From that point on, Alexa’s beaming smile never left her face. She glowed with happiness and grace, and Cal looked at her like she was the only person in the world.
The entire day unfolded effortlessly. From portraits in the soft mountain light to their heartfelt ceremony and joyful celebration with their closest loved ones. Everything felt intentional, personal, and full of love. The natural beauty of Old Edwards Inn provided the perfect backdrop, but the real magic was in the way Alexa and Cal cared for each other and the people around them.
It was a dream day from start to finish. I left with a full heart and so much gratitude for being a part of such a special celebration.
