I absolutely love a pretty portrait of a couple in love, cuddled in close to each other and smiling for the camera, but as an artist I need to mix things up sometimes to stay creatively inspired. So, I keep a bank of ideas tucked away for the right place, the right time, and most importantly…the right couple.

Amanda and Jeremy are too cute for words! I felt an instant connection after meeting these high school sweethearts and knew we would have a great time working together. We decided to go to Clemson to take their engagement photos and as I was planning for their session, one of my ideas popped forward. I quickly emailed Amanda to see if her and Jeremy were up for something a little different and got an enthusiastic YES in response. Check out the end of the post to see how awesome this couple is!

I knew we would be finishing the session at the lake, so I asked if they would be interested in jumping in at the end. Even though the water hadn’t warmed up yet, they still did it! How awesome are they?! Thanks for helping me stay inspired, Amanda and Jeremy!
