How cute are these high school sweethearts!? Kendall and Jackson have been together for seven years, and we all can’t wait to get them married next July at Heyward Manor.

The story has a sad start, but the ending bring lots of smiles. Before his passing in April, Kendall’s grandfather told her and her sister that he wanted them to have one of their grandmother’s diamonds when the time was right. Since her grandmother still wears the ring, she didn’t think an engagement was coming anytime soon. But this family was extra sneaky and got a fake diamond to fill the spot on her grandmother’s ring. This was just so Kendall wouldn’t know that Jackson had another ring made to propose with! Then, when they were down in Hilton Head this summer, Jackson surprised her with it and asked her to be his wife. They were surrounded by family and celebrated afterwards. I just love this story!

We chose the South Carolina Botanical Gardens for their engagement session location and finished the day by the lake. I definitely find a different level of comfort in my couples that are high school sweethearts and grew up together. We had the best time this evening and I can’t wait to be a part of their wedding day next year!

Kendall and Jackson’s outfits matched the scenery so perfectly! I’m obsessed with her dress too. Flowy dresses are always a good idea for engagement portraits!
