Jay and Wallace have known each other since middle school, and actually dated for a brief time growing up. She broke up with him back then because he played too much golf (ha!). Jay went to the Citadel for college, but came up to Clemson every weekend for football games. They rekindled their romance and the rest is history! Last May, Jay surprised Wallace before a date night. He picked her up and took her by Buncombe Street Church. They walked to the garden where he got down on one knee, telling her this was where they would begin their married lives together so it was the best place to propose. Then he surprised her with an engagement party with their friends and family back at home. She said she couldn’t have imagined a better day!
Jay still has a passion for golf, and Wallace has grown to like it now too. The Chanticleer golf course was the best choice to use for their engagement session as a sweet nod to their beginning. Walking the course with these two felt like I was with old friends. What a beautiful, kind, and comfortable couple they are! I am so excited to be their photographer and new friend, and can’t wait to celebrate next June!
