Mikayla finished her clinical rotations and graduated just days before our Charleston engagement session together, so it was such a fun way to celebrate this exciting year in their lives. She and Joel met at Presbyterian College and became study buddies in their chemistry class together. Then, on their first date, they actually went to Mikayla’s sister’s violin concert after dinner. So, Joel met her family and parents on their very first date! No pressure, Joel!

Well, her family loved him too and the rest is history! These two cuties are getting married in August, and I can’t wait to have them in front of my camera again! We had the best time walking around downtown Charleston for their engagement session too. Enjoy some of my favorites!

I love that every time I’m in Charleston for portraits, I can find new window boxes, gates, and avenues to use! You could spend DAYS walking each road and finding all the hidden gems!
