Elias travels a lot with work and going home to see his family, so he was always on a plane. A friend told him that there was no way he was going to meet a woman and settle down with this lifestyle. Well, fate had a different plan in mind. Sure enough, on one of his flights home, Elias met Jennifer. They hit it off, kept in touch, and now they are husband and wife. Of course, he had to go back to that friend and show him how wrong he was!
Elias also wanted to propose to the woman of his dreams in the same manner that they met: on a plane. However, their flight was delayed and then they spent 3 hours on the tarmac waiting for take off. Not exactly the setting you want to get down on one knee in! So, he waited until they arrived at the beach, well past midnight, with not a soul in sight and the stars sparkling on the ocean water. He dropped to one knee and used his phone’s flashlight to show Jennifer the ring as he proposed. Of course, she said yes. So, while the original plan didn’t work, the way it happened was unforgettable for both of them.
Jennifer and Elias just wanted a simple ceremony with their families. No pre-ceremony photos, no detail shots, no dance reception…just portraits of the two of them. We gathered in the Butterfly Garden at Clemson’s Botanical Gardens for the sweet ceremony and then we walked around for a couple hours getting photos. It was such a treat meeting these two and hearing about their story, and I hope you enjoy viewing some of my favorites.
