Welcome!

Josie & Adam: Wedding at Huguenot Loft in Downtown Greenville

Filed in: Weddings

When Adam and Josie booked with me, they had already done engagement portraits, so I didn’t have the opportunity to have them in front of my camera before their wedding day. We did meet in person beforehand, but being photographed usually puts people on edge (which is why our engagement session is SO important!). However, Josie was an all-star JSP bride. She had all her details ready for me when I arrived, the girls were way ahead of schedule with hair/makeup, and the guys were all in one room too (no trying to find that ONE missing groomsman!). As if that wasn’t enough, once Josie and Adam had their First Look, they let their love show naturally and were such a joy to photograph. Everything that day was perfect: the weather, their amazing wedding party, the florals (thank you Urban Petals!), their excited family and friends, and most of all their outpouring of love for each other.

We started the day at the Hampton Inn on the Reedy River in downtown Greenville. It was the best place to get ready because we were able to walk down to Falls Park for their First Look, then get photos of their wedding party as we made our way over to the Huguenot. We had a slight chance of rain, but thankfully not a drop came and we just had beautiful cloudy blue skies. Their day was just magical, and I hope you enjoy looking through  my (many) favorites.

Josie and Adam, thank you so much for inviting me to be a part of this special day! I only wish that we had more time to work together because I simply adore you two!!
Josie wanted to have a First Look with her Dad before going to see Adam. His reaction to seeing his daughter just melted my heart! I adore these private moments because it gives you the opportunity to share your true emotions rather than seeing each other right before walking down the aisle when stresses are high. Then it was time to see her groom. Josie and Adam waited until they were together to exchange cards and gifts. Loved seeing their reactions and wait until you see what Josie got Adam! That single tear drop on Josie’s cheek and her smile behind the kiss is EVERYTHING I love about weddings.Yep, Josie got Adam a CAR. I think she wins for best wedding gift ever. Adam and his friends work on older BMWs and just a few weeks before the wedding, Adam’s car was totaled. It actually caught fire while he was driving it! He had found a replacement car and planned to purchase, but Josie beat him to it. Adam got teary at seeing his bride, but then he really cried when he opened this gift too! He knows how lucky he is to have such an amazing and thoughtful wife.
Urban Petals did an AMAZING job with the florals for their wedding. The air plants, peonies, and succulents were the perfect combo for this trendy bride’s style. This peony was bigger than my whole hand!!!
