Oh my goodness…I adore this couple! I met with Kathryn to discuss her wedding photography on a rainy morning last fall. After she told me all about her fiance Jeff, all about their relationship, and all about their wedding in Asheville, I left the coffee shop with a smile on my face, ignoring the raindrops hitting my cheeks, and thinking to myself, “she was so darn cute and we really clicked, I hope I get to hear back from her”.
Lucky for me, I did. I am thrilled to be Kathryn and Jeff’s photographer and had so much fun playing and laughing with them at their engagement session. True story: we started in Falls Park for a little while then made our way up to Campbell’s Covered Bridge so they could incorporate their mountain bikes into the session. On the way, Kathryn called and said they had to make a pit stop because she forgot to bring an important part of her second outfit: pants. I was worried because the sun was going down quickly at this point and didn’t think we would have time to finish the session. So, I gotta give this girl MAJOR props because they were able to stop by Old Navy, pick up a pair of perfectly fitting skinny jeans, and make it up to Campbell’s Bridge in time to beat the sunset. A shopping trip like that for me would have taken an hour! This just goes to show how laid back and stress-free this couple is, which means their wedding will be awesome! We laughed about the mishap and went on to get some of my favorite engagement images from the season.
Kathryn and Jeff, thanks for rolling with the punches that day! I cannot wait to see you guys again and laugh until my stomach hurts.
Follow along for more of my life, recent work, and everything in between.
I LOVE this session and LOVE that bridge!
