There is something extra meaningful about being invited back to photograph another wedding in the same family. I had the honor of capturing Jack’s sister’s wedding back in 2021, so reconnecting with this crew felt less like work and more like coming home. Seeing familiar faces, hugs at hello, and the trust they placed in me again made this wedding all the more special.
Rachel and Jack’s day was beautifully classic from beginning to end, though the weather certainly made its presence known. The wind was relentless, coming in big guests all afternoon. But honestly? It added the most romantic movement to Rachel’s gown and created images that feel alive and full of energy.
They chose not to do a first look, saving that moment for the aisle at Daniel Chapel. Watching Jack see Rachel for the first time as she walked toward him was worth the wait. The chapel’s timeless beauty was the perfect setting for these two doctors to begin their marriage surrounded by prayer and the people who love them most.
Afterward, we celebrated in true Greenville fashion at the elegant Westin Poinsett in downtown Greenville. The ballroom glowed, the toasts were heartfelt, and the dance floor filled quickly.
Just before sunset, we slipped away to my favorite spot: the iconic rooftop. No matter how many times I photograph there, it never loses its magic. With the wind still dancing around us and the city skyline beginning to glow, Rachel and Jack soaked in a few quiet moments together. It’s always my favorite part of a Westin wedding, savoring those few minutes where everything slows down and the day settles into something unforgettable.
A windy, joy-filled, classic celebration for two incredibly kind souls. What a gift it is to tell these stories and even sweeter when they feel like family.
