After meeting Sarah and Luke at their engagement session earlier this year, I have been so anxious for their wedding day to arrive. The Reserve at Lake Keowee is such a breathtaking location, and I knew that Luke Wilson Events was going to make it a spectacular event. I was certainly not disappointed! The majestic Sperry tent sat at the top of the hill overlooking the lake for the reception, and Mary with We Took to the Woods worked wonders with amazing centerpieces with rich jewel-tone florals, fall leaves, and tiny persimmons. Sarah wore a stunning sequin gown with a delicate crystal halo in lieu of a traditional veil, and her “something blue” was a new gold band with sapphires, a gift from her groom.
The genuine love and happiness that Sarah and Luke showed towards each other made the day all the more beautiful. They were always stealing happy glances at each other and hardly left each other’s side at the reception, which I LOVE to see. Sarah and Luke, I’m so happy that things worked out the way they did, and I was able to be a part of your wedding day. It was such an honor capturing the start of your lives together (10 years in the making!), and a true joy getting to know you both. I hope you enjoy reliving these happy memories for many years to come!In honor of her late grandfather, Sarah attached his name tag to her bouquet. He worked as a bus driver all his life, so he wore this tag pretty much every day. Before they were announced husband and wife, the congregation lifted their hands in prayer for Sarah and Luke’s marriage. It was such a powerful moment.
