Working with Emily and Zach was such a beautiful experience! We didn’t have a chance to meet before their wedding day at the Westin Poinsett, but that didn’t matter one bit. They were all incredibly welcoming and joyful, so it was easy to quickly get acquainted. She told me after we got her dressed that she really felt comfortable with me and was thankful that they chose me to be a part of their day. Most brides have SO many other things on their mind during that part of their wedding day, but the fact that she took time to extend such kind words meant the world to me.
Like most women, Emily had looked forward to this day for a long time. We hit a few snags with the Poinsett Hotel’s iconic rooftop sign being broken, and it ended up misting and being super windy, but that didn’t stop us from getting outdoor portraits! By embracing the drizzle and working quickly, we made those portrait dreams come true. We even managed to slip up to the rooftop right after the ceremony to get photos before sunset. That way you can’t even tell the sign was broken!
Allie with Beckon Events designed this amazing 1920s inspired wedding that fit perfectly into their venue at the Westin Poinsett. She was by my side all day making sure things were perfect for this couple. There wasn’t a single detail that was overlooked! Take a look at some of my favorites from Emily and Zach’s amazing day!
