I’ve been trying to catch up on blogging everything from last fall, and after going back through my 2022 galleries, I realized I had never posted Sarah and Cody’s wedding! Like most of my fall weddings, this intimate Westminster Presbyterian wedding was also “blessed” with rain that day. You always hear people saying that “rain on your wedding day is good luck”, but where did that old wive’s tale come from? I decided to Google it to find out for myself and according to Hindu tradition, a rainy wedding will result with a long-lasting marriage because a “wet knot” (as in tying the knot) is harder or impossible to untie. It’s also seen as a cleansing or renewal for the couple’s married life. Now you know!
The rain stopped before portraits on Sarah and Cody’s day. Even though it was wet outside and we had minimal time to work with due to church rules, we managed to make it happen! I loved working with this joyful couple and hope you enjoy viewing some of my favorites!
