Here’s to ten years of loving love. That’s right, 2019 was my TENTH year photographing weddings. It doesn’t seem real that I’ve spent a third of my life in this industry (counting my interning and second shooting years), but gosh, as long as my heart is still devoted to heirloom photography, I’m going to keep on pursuing this dream job. I won’t say that it’s been easy to get to this point because that’s the furthest thing from the truth!

If I’m being totally honest, there have been points of burn-out when I’ve thought about hanging up my camera bag and going to a more “normal” 9-5 job. The computer work can be such a drag, but then another inquiry comes in that gets me super excited, or I finish a gallery that really makes me proud of my artistic vision, or I open my mailbox to find a heartfelt thank you card from a client to brighten my day (how many jobs can say that!?). God has used this talent and my vision to provide me with just under 200 brides and grooms that I’ve been able to serve and love on and create images that I hope they will cherish for the rest of their lives. What.A.Blessing. All I can say is I’m looking forward to ten MORE years!

Last year was so beautiful and I can’t wait to share this HUGE post with you that sums up everything I saw. 2020…you’ve got big shoes to fill!!
