Laurie and Richie’s Chattooga Belle Farm engagement session couldn’t have been more perfect! This location can be tricky to shoot in if there’s no cloud cover (bright sun, squinty eyes, and harsh shadows are not good for my style!), but we lucked out with a beautifully overcast day. Richie and Laurie actually met online, but NOT in the modern-sense like Tinder, Bumble, or any other dating site. They actually first connected back in the days of AOL Instant Messenger! We laughed about that and all the silly screen names and away messages we used to leave. But, their story continues when they reconnected recently with social media. I just love how their story came full circle with the beauty of technology!

It’s always a pleasure exploring gorgeous places like Chattooga Belle, but it’s icing on the cake when you get to spend the afternoon with a great couple like Laurie and Richie. We even dared each other to eat wild strawberries we found in the last location we used! Thankfully they weren’t poisonous and we lived to tell the tale! In fact, that strawberry was probably the best one I’ve ever had! Laurie and Richie, I’m so glad to have that memory with you and can’t wait to see you both again for your wedding here next May!
