Amanda and Andrew’s engagement session didn’t start the way we wanted it to with the weather, but if it weren’t for the stubborn rain clouds, we wouldn’t have ended up being able to use TWO locations! Amanda went to USC and Andrew graduated from Clemson, but they ultimately decided to have their session on Clemson’s campus. Well, just 3 miles outside of Clemson that day, it started raining. Since they drove all the way from Columbia, we toughed it out and walked through the sprinkling rain to get their portraits done. The clouds were getting darker and the rain was heavier as we went to the second half of the session. At that point, we decided to call it off.

Luckily, I was going to be driving back through Columbia the following weekend, so we set up having the second half of their session at the Riverwalk there. It was perfect to be able to use BOTH locations that represent where they went to college! I think we were meant to have those rain clouds to make it happen this way.

Amanda and Andrew are so sweet and silly together, and I had the best time getting to photograph this Clemson to Columbia engagement! I can’t wait for the wedding day next July!
