Katie said since she was about 16 years old, she has wanted to have a Huguenot Mill wedding. That dream came true this October! She and JD are both huge fans of musical theatre, and they even got engaged on the stage of the Peace Center, so it was fitting to have their reception right next door.

They had a Catholic wedding ceremony, which always allows for unique timelines. Since the ceremony is earlier in the day, I typically just photograph details and the bride getting dressed before they say I do. Then, we have a huge chunk of time between ceremony and reception to get portraits done. It makes for a long day, but I LOVE the freedom this creates with timing! We were able to walk all around the Huguenot and up to the Peace Center to get their favorite places in their photos.

Katie and JD’s families and their friends were ALL so kind and welcoming. I felt like I was part of their crew by the end of it all! I loved being a part of this day, and hope you enjoy my favorites from their wedding.
