finding joy, and living life to the fullest. I'm so glad you're here, and hope you enjoy your stay!
Lacy had just moved back home to Florence after college at USC. There was a Halloween party which she didnt want to go to, but her friends convinced her to join them. Luckily she did because it was that night when she met Kyle. Not long after they started dating, Kyle had to leave for basic training in the National Guard. They talked on the phone every day, and she wrote him lots of letters. She said she knew that something was different about this relationship and she would have done anything for him no matter the distance. Sounds like an old romantic tale, right?! I know they will love telling her kids and grandkids about how their love began.
Almost four years later, Kyle woke Lacy up early one morning and told her to pack a bag because they were going on a trip. They drove for about 3 hours and she had no idea where they were going, until they arrived at Burntshirt Vineyards. He had plans for a winery tour, but told her they had to take a picture first with the photographer on site. He started hugging her and then dropped down to one knee. Turns out the photographer was there to take pictures of his proposal! (Good job, Kyle!!!) They spent the weekend in Asheville enjoying Biltmore, and lots of celebratory food and drink. Lacy was so surprised and said it was the best day of her life.
We spent the afternoon of their engagement session at the Horseshoe at University of South Carolina and the SC State House. It was actually the 4 year anniversary of the day they met too! Lacy and Kyle, you truly have something special together and I am so honored to capture the start of your lives together. Enjoy some of my favorites!
