Leslie and Jon’s Huguenot Loft wedding happened to fall on Groundhog’s Day, a holiday when this furry animal peeks out of his burrow to check for his shadow and lets us know if there will be an early spring or longer winter. It may seem crazy, but this year Mr. Punxsutawney Phil predicted for spring to come early, and he was RIGHT. Just a couple weeks before, there was freezing temperatures and snow, but we had the most beautiful weather that day. Sunny and 65 degrees!

This wedding day flowed so smoothly and was such a joy to be a part of. There was no stress or drama, just happiness all around. Leslie and Jon, thank you for inviting me to share this time with you to capture these special memories. I hope you enjoy reliving your gorgeous wedding day!

I love a Daddy/Daughter First Look! He was so genuinely taken aback by his beautiful daughter. Ok ok, I KNOW I’m sharing a lot of detail photos here, but Upstate I Do really outdid themselves. This reception was packed with beauty and style! These two sets of grandparents made me cry. On the left, seeing her hand on his cheeck, oh my heart. And on the right, I had just walked past them as they were sitting back down from dancing for a few seconds. He said he had bad knees and couldn’t stand long, but got back up to dance with her again so I could take their picture. As you can see, that really made her smile. THIS is the kind of love I hope to still have in 40 years. If I remember correctly, these two were college roommates and lifelong friends. Why not share a slow dance together, rigtht?
